Sing, clap, and groove with the Indiana University’s African American Choral Ensemble and the IU Soul Revue. In this special combined 2-part performance, the Choral Ensemble will first present a range of African American choral music — from inspiring Gospel songs and spirituals to formally-composed works. The second part of the concert will have you on your feet for the funky sounds of the IU Soul Revue, bringing you back to Black popular music from the 1960s through contemporary R&B and soul hits. The African American Choral Ensemble and IU Soul Revue are student ensembles managed by the African American Arts Institute at Indiana University Bloomington.
